The purpose of this paper is to examine economic and non-economic variables that affect economic growth and their impact on the welfare of the people in East Java Province. This research was conducted in districts / cities in East Java Province using a sampling method, namely purposive sampling. The research period carried out was for 5 years, namely 2015-2019. Data analysis in this paper was carried out using path analysis using SPSS version 22.0. The results shown from the testing process that have been carried out have resulted in several findings, namely (1) economic growth in East Java Province is negatively affected by the inflation rate, negatively by regional spending, and positively by regional own income, (2) the inflation rate is capable of strengthening the negative influence of regional spending on economic growth, (3) the inflation rate is able to weaken the positive effect of local revenue on economic growth, (4) the results of the study show that the effect of regional expenditure and local revenue on economic growth will ultimately have an impact on welfare people in East Java Province. Therefore, based on the results of research that has been carried out, it implies that the government must be able to control the inflation rate that occurs and balance the amount of regional income and expenditure in East Java Province to create maximum social welfare through maximizing economic growthReferences
