The "Collaborative R&DB Programme for Promoting the Innovation of Climate Technopreneurship" highlights the importance of supporting ASEAN countries in seeking and adopting climate technology solutions through technology transfer to advance mitigation and adaptation actions, especially amid the worsening climate crisis. The program focuses on five countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam. From these five countries, the program will help build a regional innovation ecosystem that supports the replication and scaling of technology-driven climate solutions.

The program will develop an incubation and acceleration platform to support and strengthen the local ecosystem for climate technology, promoting low-emission and climate-resilient development that is tailored to the needs of local markets and social conditions. This platform will also create opportunities for joint ventures and technology transfer between local entrepreneurs and global climate technology innovators.

The Climate Technopreneurship Fund, established through this program, will invest in approximately 40 portfolio companies in the region. This investment is expected to provide direct and indirect benefits to around 2.3 million people.
