Global Fund for Coral Reefs Investment Window

The Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) Investment Window will create a private equity fund to encourage investments in the blue economy, protecting coral reefs. It aims to address critical financing and private investment barriers in the following areas: sustainable ocean production, ecotourism, and sustainable infrastructure and waste management. The program will also benefit from synergies with the Global Fund for Coral Reefs Grant Window, which aims to mobilize USD 125 million of concessional capital to foster an enabling environment for seeding investment-ready projects.

The program is targeting 17 countries with 35.2 million beneficiaries accross 20 years of implementation.
