Becoming an Accredited Entity of the GCF: A Guideline for Indonesian National Entities

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) partners with Accredited Entities (AE) to channel their funding. There are various AEs around the world with different categories based on sectors, size, and type of entities. The categories assigned to the AEs will govern the maximum scope within which the AEs can submit a funding proposal for a project/program. In Indonesia, sufficient varieties of accredited national entities can help fill the funding gap in various sectors and project sizes, with strong national access. To help guide national entities following the GCF accreditation process, the Fiscal Policy Agency as the National Designated Authority of the GCF published a guideline on how to become the GCF Accredited Entity. The guideline also includes country-specific nomination procedure and lessons learned from existing national accredited entities, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) and Kemitraan.
